The three were elected Saturday along with longtime Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson, who at age 90 will be the oldest person ever inducted; former Minnesota guard Randall McDaniel; and the late Bob Hayes, a standout wide receiver for Dallas. The only candidate who didn't get in was former Falcons and Eagles defensive end Claude Humphrey.
-- John Gordy, a former offensive lineman for the Detroit Lions and University of Tennessee who helped form the NFL Players' Association, has died. He was 73. He was a three-time Pro Bowler with the Lions before a knee injury led to his retirement in 1967.
