Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress said there's no date scheduled for defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to interview for the Detroit Lions' head coaching job.
Besides the Lions, Childress said, no other teams with coaching vacancies have called so far to ask for permission to interview Frazier. Childress said he expects there to be interest in Frazier.
"I do, not because of his name but just because of his body of work," Childress said. "He's a good Football coach."
In other news, Childress said there's a "small chance" defensive end Ray Edwards will play Sunday against Philadelphia in the playoffs. He said Edwards, who has an injured left knee, participated in the walk-through this morning but probably would not practice today.
Defensive tackle Pat Williams will practice today, most likely on a limited basis, as expected. Childress wants to see how Williams' right arm is coming along. Williams has a fractured right shoulder blade.
