ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Leigh Bodden to a four-year contract extension on Friday.

The deal, which has club options through 2013, adds $27 million onto Bodden's contract including a $2 million signing bonus and an $8.6 million roster bonus if he's on the team next March.
Bodden was acquired from Cleveland, along with a third-round pick, in a February trade for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers.
Bodden had a career-high six interceptions and 76 tackles last season, his first as a full-time starter. In his first four seasons, he started 22 games.
