--The Lions put safety Gerald Alexander on injured reserve Monday because of a neck injury he suffered late in Sunday's 12-10 loss at Minnesota. "Evaluation of Alexander's condition and treatment options are ongoing and additional information regarding his injury will be made at the appropriate time," the Lions said in a statement.
--Coach Rod Marinelli did not criticize the officiating. But he said cornerback Leigh Bodden did what he was supposed to do when he was flagged for pass interference late in Sunday's game, setting up the winning field goal. "In terms of how we coach him, I thought he was in good position," Marinelli said. "He snapped his head well. ... That's what we teach. Snap his head back and go up for the ball."
