The Lions are 0-13 for the first time ever. They're headed to Indianapolis to face Peyton Manning, trying to earn their first victory, and their own quarterback situation is uncertain.
Daunte Culpepper has a shoulder injury. As he was trying to heave a desperation pass late in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Minnesota, a defender caught his arm coming forward. Culpepper went for an MRI exam Monday.
"I want to see where Daunte is first," coach Rod Marinelli said. "We've got to see what that news is like, and then we've got to sit down tomorrow and look at all our options."
Dan Orlovsky has missed five games with a broken right thumb. He felt a problem when he tried to throw last week.
"I felt last week I was probably a week or two away, so we'll see how it feels this week," Orlovsky said. "I'll probably be a little more aggressive with it and push it a little more to see how it feels and responds. But I'm pretty confident I'll be able to go."
Drew Stanton returned from a concussion against the Vikings but served only as the emergency third quarterback after missing practice time last week. Stanton said he should be able to practice fully this week.
Only Drew Henson has no health issues. He came in for the final play against the Vikings after Culpepper was injured.
